Govind Venuprasad is Coordinator of Supporting Indian Trade and Investment for Africa (SITA), a project funded by the United Kingdom, and implemented by the International Trade Centre (ITC) across Ethiopia, India, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania and Uganda. He is also ITC’s Programme Manager for South-South Trade and Investment; Country Manager for India, and has served with the United Nation System – ITC in Geneva, and UNDP in Afghanistan – since 1998, specializing in Regional Trade and Investment Promotion, South-South Cooperation; and Exporter Competitiveness.
Prior to joining the UN system he worked in the private sector across international trading in commodities, leather, logistics and project syndication. Govind has earned degrees in Social Sciences and International Business from India and the United Kingdom.
