About Hyderabad

Welcome to the City of Pearls!

The fourth edition of International Spice Conference will be held at one of the most beautiful cities of India.

Historically a trading centre for diamonds and pearls, Hyderabad is even today referred to as the ‘City of Pearls.’

Located on the banks of the Musi River, it is the capital city of Telangana. In fact, the city has a great heritage of culture, literature, art, architecture, furniture, jewellery and cuisine.

Today the city is a major commercial centre and IT hub. Hyderabad is an interesting confluence of the old and the new, with the modern metropolis lying to the north of the Musi River and the old city to its south.

Charminar, the grand monument with four open arches and towering minarets, shines like a jewel at the heart of the city. Golconda Fort is a historical site known for its architectural brilliance. The Salar Jung Museum has a rare collection of jewels and paintings. Ramoji Film City, one the largest film studios of the world, attracts tourists from around the world. Hussain Sagar Lake, Birla Mandir, Chowmahalla Palace, Taj Falaknuma Palace and Laad Bazaar are some of the other sought-after tourist destinations. To top it all, the mouth-watering cuisines of Hyderabad are world famous, especially the iconic Dum Biriyani. Rest assured, ISC 2019 promises to be as much a holiday as a business conference.
