Has been working in the Spice Industry for 42 years. He is currently the President of the American Spice trade association and works with the ASTA board of Directors andworking alongside Laura Shumow we are committed to furthering the strategic goals of the Spice Industry on a Global basis. He has had a strong connection with ASTA going to his first convention in 1982. He has served on the Board of Directors on 3 different occasions. Chairing several ASTA committees during his tenure.

David was a founding member of ESA (European Spice Association) back in the early 1980's. He has traveled extensively around the World within spice trade having visited over 85 countries to date. Visiting local spice traders and visiting many farms that produce the Worlds spices.

Involved in Purchasing with British Pepper and Spice Company at the beginning of his career in 1977 and moving to the USA in 1984 where he worked for Durkee French Foods before moving to California in 1989. Procurement has been David's specialty throughout his career. He is currently the President of BDS natural products based in Los Angeles.
