Mr. Venugopal has been the Head of Legal of Harrisons Malayalam Ltd. since 1984 and is the Vice President - Legal and the designated Manager of the Company. He graduated in science in 1976 and obtained a degree in law in 1980 and brings in 39 years of expertise in legal matters (as a Lawyer and in the Corporate Sector).

Mr. Venugopal has been providing complete in-house legal support to HML and is an expert in land laws, particularly those of Kerala/Tamil Nadu, with 35 years of experience in handling land/corporate legal matters and related litigation. With his vast experience, he has managed to successfully defend the Company in all legal issues, mostly land related, and take it forward in spite of all hostilities over the years.

Prior to joining HML, Mr. Venugopal was a practicing lawyer in the lower courts at Cochin and the High Court of Kerala for 4 years.

He is currently the President of the Cochin Chamber of Commerce & Industry for the year. He has also been Legal Advisor of prominent bodies in plantation business and has been a member of various committees of the business organisations such as United Planters Association of South India, Association of Planters of Kerala etc.
